Cliff Colqhoun – CEO

Cliff is a founding member of CBEC. Since day one Cliff’s energy and enthusiasm has been a driving force behindp CBEC’s success.

Pete Hill – CFO

As CFO Pete is responsible for managing the finances of CBEC, which includes strategic planning, budgets and performance monitoring of the CBEC family of businesses.

Terry Jones – General Manager

Terry oversees the Pools Business, Eco Solutions, Labour Hire, the Garden Center, North Hire Marquees, Loop de Loop cycle hire, Busabout North, Grow Northland.

Ruth Marsh – Manager Eco Solutions

Ruth runs Eco Solutions in Whangarei. Ruth has a deep base of experience in Environmental project management and has worked in Northland on many significant campaigns.

Paul Hansen – Manager Healthy Homes

Paul is Operations Manager for Healthy Homes Tai Tokerau. His role includes marketing and implementation of Healthy Homes Tai Tokerau’s range of energy efficiency products and services.

Lisa Lilly – Manager Garden Centre

Lisa is responsible for the overall performance of The Garden Centre, customer service, marketing & promotions, retail lines and plant stock and management of the three public swimming pools in Kaitaia, Kawakawa and Kerikeri.

Our Story

Based in Kaitaia in the Far North of New Zealand, CBEC was formed in 1989 in response to the impacts of New Zealand’s mid 1980s economic reforms. The founding team wanted to create environmentally sustainable businesses and practises that provided training and employment for local people with the profits going back into the community.
