The Conservation Corps recruits young people between the ages of 16 and 24 from the Far North Region of New Zealand. Each year 20 participants take part in the 20 week programme. Two programmes a year take place in the months of Feb - Jun and Jul - Dec.
Far North Conservation Corps has been in operation under CBEC's sponsorship for many years now and continues to be an integral part of its foundation, providing opportunities, useful teaching aids and support for each project. Our supervisors and tutors have had careers in a wide range of fields such as conservation, wildlife, forestry and bushcraft as well as management and education.
